The design of this note is completely new.

On the front, it depicts a group of students celebrating flag rising and beneath them an open book with the word EDUCACION (education). On the top right corner, is printed with '200 ANO' (200 years). Viva le Independencia (long live Independence) is printed on the bottom right.

On the back, it feasters a pair of Ara Macao (Guara Roja/Scarlet Macaw) flying over the reserve land of Biosfera Del Rio Platano. The Scarlet Macaw is the national bird of Honduras. Biosfera Del Rio Platano is a natural reserve with an area of 1,300,000 acres and is located on the eastern part of Honduras. In 1982, the Biosfera Del Rio Platano was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Next to the birds is the central bank's seal.
