Cuba - 2017 Prints Pesos Convertibles

República de Cuba
(Republic of Cuba)

Banco Central de Cuba
(Central Bank of Cuba)
 Currency - Peso Convertibles (CUC)

Here are a couple of Cuba convertible notes printed with the year date of 2017. These two notes were obtained when family members visited the country few years ago and gave them to me as a gift. Needless to say these notes are not in uncircutaled condition, but at best I would say between EF+ to aUNC.

The two notes posted here are the three and five pesos.

Three Pesos Convertibles
Dated 2017, Ernesto Che Guevara monument, Santa Clara

The design for the three pesos on the front is the statue of the world famous Ernesto Che Guevara in Santa Clara. Che was born an Argentinian in 1928 and was killed in Bolivia in 1967. He was captured while fighting a guerrilla war in Bolivia and later executed on 09.10.1967, age 39, under the order of the country's President Rene Barientos. Whilst been born as an Argentinian, he served as the President of the Central Bank of Cuba and also as a Minister of Industries in Cuba.
