Brazil - 200 Cruzados Novos ND1989 Commemorative Centenary of Republic

This note was issued in 1989 celebrating the Centenary of the Republic, 1889 to 1989. This series is printed with prefix and suffix of A and the first 4 digits ranging from 0001 to 1964. The note is printed with the text - Republica I Centenario (Centennial Republic). The note depicts four men standing together, one of them is Marshal Deodoro da Fonseca, who deposed Emperor Dom Pedro ll on 15.11.1889 and declared Brazil a republic. Marshal Deodoro also became the first president of the republic from 1889 to 1891.
