Nicaragua - 1000 Cordolas 2016 Commemorative

Commemorative note issued on 01.12.2016 commemorating the 100th anniversary of the death of Felix Ruben Gracia Sarmiento also known as Ruben Dario (18.01.1867-06.02.1916). Ruben Dario was a Poet. The note, on the front, is printed with the following poetry; -

!oh pueblos nuestros! !oh pueblos nuestros! Juntaos en la esperanza y en el trabajo y la paz; no busqueis las tinieblas, no persigais el caos, y no regueis con sangre nuestra tierra feraz.
(O our people! O our people! Join together in hope and work and peace; Seek not darkness, do not persecute chaos, and do not wipe our fertile earth with blood.)

This note is predominately printed in green colour. This is the first 1000 Cordolas denomination issued since 1999.
